All you need is cream, sugar, & citrus of your choice to make this creamy treat. I used tangelos this time, but you can do lemons, grapefruit, lilikoi, or a combo of various citrus/tart fruits.
Massage the citrus zest into the sugar to bring out the flavor. In a large pot, bring cream and the zested sugar to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Reduce heat to medium, and boil 3 minutes, stirring constantly, adjusting heat as needed to prevent mixture from boiling over. Remove from heat. Stir in salt and vanilla. Now add in 3 TBSP lemon juice and 1/4 cup orange juice. Taste it, and add more until desired taste (do not add more than 1/2 cup orange juice as it will thin out the mixture). Now let it sit for 10 minutes to cool. Stir mixture again and divide among orange skins, ramekins, or glasses. Cover and chill until set, at least 1-2 hours or until cold and thickened (may take up to 4 hours, but I usually just do overnight). Once set, garnish with whipped cream, mint, berries, or raspberry sugar (1 cup dehydrated raspberries + 3/4 cup powdered or granulated sugar, blended until powder). ENJOY and let me know if you have any questions🫶
